New Year New You

Welcome back everyone to another year of 6x training and lets start it off with a bang. Here are some pointers to help you kick off the new year and make sure 2017 is your best year yet!

Fitness Goals
Having goals is a great way to make sure you're properly motivated, and can also help you find the get up and go to get out of bed early and get to the gym! Set yourself goals that you are comfortable with, and feel you can achieve with a bit of hard work. The best goals are known as SMART goals: they are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time framed. Set yourself a couple of these, and enjoy the challenge.

After all that food during Christmas, and the drinks consumed over the new year period, chances are you're feeling a little sluggish. Now is the time to fix those bad dietary habits, and start fresh. Dieting isn't the answer for everyone, so instead of going on an all out food strike, slowly cut down on those treats you've been enjoying over this time. Get back into eating those fresh fruits and vegetables, avoid foods high in saturated fats, and instead of having an alcoholic drink with dinner, have a glass of water. Follow these guidelines and soon enough you'll start to feel like your old self, without losing that festive cheer.
