My name is Kyle and I thought I’d take this opportunity to introduce myself. For those of you who haven’t met me already, I’m a student studying me Masters in Exercise Physiology at Sydney Uni currently on placement here at 6X. You’ll see me around on Wednesday and Saturday mornings along with fellow student Khy. Just look for the two guys with beards! I’ll be helping out in group classes and doing my best to learn everybody’s names (with limited success).
How did I get here? Growing up sport was almost all I did. Whether it was on my own through tennis and running or as a part of a team through my personal favourites cricket and AFL. As a teenager I began playing both cricket and AFL at a representative level, eventually competing at a state level in AFL. It was during this time that my love of sport developed into an interest in exercise and the human body and how it worked.
My interest in exercise and the science behind it meant that, surprise surprise, a degree in exercise science was the perfect fit for me. I studied for 3 years at Wollongong Uni and finished in 2017. I then decided to start studying my Masters degree to further develop my knowledge and skills, working towards my goal of working in hospital based rehabilitation.
I hope to get to know as many of you as I can over the coming weeks. If you see me around please come and say hi! I’m always keen for a chat and happy to answer any questions you might have, or if you’re feeling like a challenge a workout.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me and letting me get involved here at 6X.
