Nutrition CoachingThat Survives Real Life

Targets set from your actual body composition, habits built one at a time, and a coach who reviews the numbers with you instead of handing over a laminated meal plan.

  • Targets from your InBody scan
  • Habit-based, not meal plans
  • Reviewed every few weeks

The problem with meal plans

A perfect plan you abandon in ten days is worth nothing.

Most nutrition advice fails not because it is wrong but because it is unlivable. Six identical chicken-and-broccoli containers do not survive a work trip, a birthday, a night shift or a child with a fever.

Coaching here starts from what you eat now. We find the two or three changes that would make the biggest difference to your results, and we make those changes stick before adding anything else.

Targets come from measurement. Your InBody scan gives an estimated basal metabolic rate and a picture of your muscle and fat mass, and from that your coach sets calorie and protein targets that suit your training load and your goals.

What coaching covers

  • Daily calorie and protein targets set from your scan
  • Building meals around protein and vegetables first
  • Practical strategies for eating out and social events
  • Alcohol, sleep and their effect on your results
  • Timing food around training sessions
  • Adjusting targets as your body composition changes

How it runs

Four steps, repeated as you progress.

  1. 01

    Measure

An InBody 570 scan establishes your muscle mass, fat mass and estimated metabolic rate. Everything else is set from this rather than from a formula on the internet.

  2. 02

    Set targets

Your coach sets calorie and protein targets that suit your training frequency, your schedule and how you actually like to eat.

  3. 03

    Build the habits

One or two changes at a time. Protein at breakfast before macro tracking. Consistency before optimisation.

  4. 04

    Review and adjust

Rescan every four to eight weeks. If muscle is holding and fat is dropping, the plan stays. If not, the numbers change, not just the effort.

Who it suits

Common starting points.

Training hard, not changing

The most common story in any gym. Usually a nutrition problem wearing a training costume, and the scan makes that obvious quickly.

Losing weight and strength together

Cutting calories too hard costs muscle. Targets are set to protect lean mass so the weight you lose is the weight you wanted to lose.

Trying to add muscle

Most people attempting to gain muscle are eating well under what the goal requires, particularly protein. The numbers settle that argument.

Shift workers and irregular hours

Targets built around a rotating roster rather than around three tidy meals at fixed times.

Serial dieters

If you have done every diet and rebounded from each one, the priority is a sustainable intake and rebuilding a decent relationship with food.

Busy parents

Practical changes to family meals and shopping rather than cooking two separate dinners every night.

6X Training provides general nutrition coaching for healthy adults. This is not clinical dietetics, medical nutrition therapy, or treatment for any medical condition or eating disorder. If you are pregnant, managing a medical condition such as diabetes or kidney disease, taking medication affected by diet, or have a history of disordered eating, please consult your doctor or an accredited practising dietitian.
